[Personal Sharing] Short essay I wrote about myself to YTLC after nominated

‘Seek not to find who you are. Seek to find who you want to be’. Quote that I first saw in my sister’s web profile and felt that it is a meaningful quote. However, till present, I still have not completely found out what I want to be.

I was born in a poor family, but thankful it is not too bad. This caused my life from 1 year old until now is just as usual as other, primary school, secondary school then university. Thru that, I know I must earn more knowledge, get better academic result so I can join the competitive working environment nowadays. But no matter how much I study, I feel that I can’t compete with oversea student. A lot of them are able to create something new at my age.

This brought me to a road that is not comfort to walk. Every choice before I made, I will think not only twice, but more than that. After I made, I rethink again and sometimes I have insomnia. I really hope there is something, no matter a person or just object but not God, can brings me out from this confusion that caused by future.

To conclude my message, I am just a teenager that confused by his own future and do not know what I want to be.

[Technology/Game] Microsoft's Kinect, defeats Nintendo Wii?

Microsoft's Kinect, is a controller-free system for its Xbox 360 gaming console and in my opinion, it is even better than the Nintendo Wii.

Kinect doesn't has any controller for the player to hold, it uses 3 camera sensors and 4 microphones which provide the system 3D motion capture, facial recognition and voice recognition. Unlike Ninteno Wii that only reads the movement of arms, the Kinect able to reads full body movements and accept voice commands as well. It is believed that the system able to track up to six persons simultaneously, including two active players.

In addition, the Microsoft is still developing Kinect so the system can be supported by PCs as well via the future Microsoft operating system, Window 8.

[Technology] Blekko - the alternative search engine

Had been a long time since the last news about Blekko, the alternative search engine.
It is recommended for you to know about this if you are an undergraduate student.

The main advantage of Blekko is it is designed to eliminate spam search results. Example if you are using Google or Yahoo, you will see a lot of results while some of them are not related to what you want to search.

However, if you use Blekko, with the help of slashtags, a new tech developed by Blekko where its main job is to determine which category do a search query fall into when a user's search query is submitted. Hence, the results generated are guaranteed as high quality sites and it is beneficial for university students who always search for their assignment.

The Blekko is current in public beta stage. Wait until the time the Blekko is release officially, we will see how true is what they said.
